Hello guys, here is what we promised you. This video update will show you what you have been waiting for, the "Perfect Distinct" Thanks for all your cooperation and patience that resulted in the "DISTINCT" becoming customized for all our backers. Enjoy this update and please share what you have in mind after watching this video. We would like to hear from you.
We should be receiving the purchase/tooling contract from our Distinct manufacturer, signed and stamped next week and production shall start. We'll keep you posted not later than next weekend.

Our First Trip To Shenzhen China To Start Production Line (May 10th - May 18th 2019)

Hi Kickstarter Community,
This photo update shows you our scheduled flight to Shenzhen, China.
Last week we were informed by our main supplier that the tooling has been modified and the samples are ready to be tested. However, we will not wait for few weeks for them to deliver the improved Distinct here in the US, but instead we've made a decision to visit China to meet with all our suppliers, one at the time. We will test and confirm the refined Distinct and arrange mass production.
Departure: May 8th 2019 at 8:00am (JFK airport)
Arrival: May 10th 2019 at 12:40am (Shenzhen airport). We'll arrive to our hotel around 1:30am. At 10:00am that same day, one of our suppliers will pick us up and we will head to their factory to meet with their sales and engineer teams to discuss the production line. We will repeat this process as all suppliers' factories are 2hrs away from each other.
Return: May 18th 2019 (JFK airport)
We will continue to work countless hours to make our visit to our factories as productive as possible. We will keep you posted as soon as we can. Thank you all.

Estimated Time For Tooling Modification, Production, Assembly, Packaging & Shipping

Hello early adopters! Thank you for all of your positive feedback and willingness to wait for the tooling to be refined. You will be the very first people to receive Distinct. Therefore, we would like it to be perfect because we, the "Chiseled Design Team" value all of our amazing backers.
APRIL - MAY
*Tooling is now being modified and when it is completed, the supplier will produce samples and ship them to us for testing.
*We'll post a Kickstarter video update to show you what has changed and what has been improved.
*We’ll arrange our trip to China to meet with our 5 suppliers one by one to start mass production.
JUNE - JULY
*The production of 2,000-3,000 units will take time, according to our suppliers. However, here is what we will also be doing to execute this project in an efficient manner.
* We will return to China a few more times to observe and administer the finished product (quality control).
*We’ll teach the assembly line department on how to assemble and package Distinct.
* Shipping starts!
* Provide backers with tracking information.

We would like to speed up the mass production process, but there are protocols to follow. Everything is under control and we are committed to deliver DISTINCT to each and every one of our backers. You will all continue to be notified every step of the way, as we are big on transparency and updates! We'd like to thank you for your patience and cooperation while we continue to work to bring you the best Distinct.
